HOW TO APPLY LIPSTICK TO THIN OR NARROW LIPS ?

Bonjour / Hello !!

Welcome back ! Can you believe it’s New Years Eve ? Who’s excited ? The end of the year is upon us and, here at FLAWLESS BEAUTY BLOG BY NAKIBA we’re all about saying goodbye to one year and hello to the next !

Alors, this week’s topic is all about how to apply lipstick to thin or narrow lips…

Not all women were born with luscious lips. There is hope, however, for women with thinner lips who just want to make them look a little fuller, with the right lipstick colour and the right technique, your thin lips will look sexy and fuller in no time.

Prior to applying makeup to your lips, it is important to distinguish what form and shade suits you best. The first thing you must consider when choosing a colour is the tone you have selected for the eye makeup and the blush for the cheeks. Then you must differentiate between the three types of lipsticks. Matte, pearly and translucent. If you want to know, keep reading the article on how to apply lipstick to thin lips.

WHICH COLOUR LIPSTICK SUITS ME ?

First, you should know that matte lipsticks are very thick tones. They are to make up fuller fleshy lips. Usually these are used in the night as they give an elegant and sophisticated effect. Lipstick in pearly colours are used to add volume to thin lips. They are for all ages and situations, bringing a touch of brightness. Finally, there are translucent lip products that give wet effect that add shine to lips whilst maintaining the natural tone.

For thin or narrow lips, it is vital you overdraw them. You must choose a warm tone that is quite vivid and noticeable. Although you must go over natural lip contour, make sure to do it to not change their natural shape too much – otherwise it will look very fake. Shimmery and frosty lip formulas work well on thinner and flatter lips as it adds a fuller and plumping effect. Ombre lip effect works very well too. If Ombre lips sounds too daunting, you can add the same colour all over your lips but add a shimmery highlight to the center of your lips for a plumping effect.

HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT LIPSTICK COLOUR FOR YOUR SKIN TONE

This is a tough one, I know. I mean there are tons of marvelous lip colours out there, and we want to grab them all, right ? But if you have thin lips you cannot go for a colour that’s dark and murky.

To make lips look plumper, you need to brighten them up and lighten them up !

COLOURS TO PICK: Peach, nude, pink, pale pink and light beige.

COLOURS TO DUCK: Shades of brown, oxblood, marron, plum, and red.

STEPS ON HOW TO APPLY LIPSTICK TO YOUR LIPS

STEP 1

BEGIN WITH CHOOSING YOUR LIP LINER AND LIPSTICK

Choose a lip liner and a lipstick that match in colour.

instasize_171231233209

STEP 2

 EXFOLIATION

instasize_171231233350

Every makeup routine starts with cleansing and exfoliation, and the same applies to the lips. Begin by treating the pout to some much-required exfoliation ritual. A lip scrub helps you to get rid of the dead skin cells and allows the lipstick and lip liner to work in a smooth way on your lips.

Clean and exfoliate your lips with a dry, soft-bristled toothbrush or wet, warm washcloth. This will remove any dead and dry skin from your lips before you apply lipstick.

STEP 3

LIP PRIMER OR FOUNDATION

instasize_171231233415

Once you are done with the exfoliation, prime the pucker. The primer helps keep the lippie much longer. It helps enhance the permanence of your lip colour.

or

Foundations

Apply foundation to your lips as well as your face. Allow it to dry for a just a few seconds. You can even brush some face powder if you wish. This provides a base for putting on the lip liner and lipstick.

STEP 4

TRACE LIP LINE

Lip liners

After prepping your lips, its time to put your liner to work. Depending on the desired results, this step may take a few tires, especially if you are relatively new at liner. However, in selecting the right shade and the strategically apply your product, you can get that fuller finish you crave.

Close mouth, beginning at the “V” shape in your upper lips and just outside the natural lip line take a sharp lip liner pencil and use short strokes to follow the lip line to the corner of your month. Repeat on the other side of the upper lip. When you finish with the upper lip, start at the middle of the bottom lip, just inside the natural lip line, and move the outward corners as you did for the top lip.

Fill in the rest of the lips with lip liner. This step is mandatory, but it will make your lipstick last longer.

STEP 5

STAIN LIPS

instasize_171231233433

Apply a lips stain or powder before rubbing in the real lip colour, is a great way to get bullet proof lip. It also helps setting the lip look and keeping the colour in place, preventing colour bleeding.

STEP 6

APPLY LIPSTICK

Liquid lip stick

Use a lip brush to apply your lipstick, beginning with the center of your lips and brushing outward. The lip brush allows your lipstick to go on more evenly and gives you more control. You can also add a frosted shade to your upper lip to make your lips look even fuller.

STEP 7

CONCEAL YOUR LIPS

Neurtal concealer

After you apply lip stick to your lips, you need to conceal the fine lines around your lips. Many reason, cause these lines, the biggest culprit being, dry skin. While you need to start moisturizing your lips and skin around it for long term results, dab some concealer to buff away the lines for a quick solution !

STEP 8

PLAY UP THE PUCKER

Lip gloss

Just like you would creatively line your eyes, there area a variety of playful ways to enhance your lips. And whether you want  more juicy or dramatic results, you can use ready to grab tools like lip gloss or highlighter to totally help you out.

To enhance your lips even more, make artist Anne Marie DeMauro using makeup essentials like lip gloss, to feign that plumper appearance pronto.

“After applying your base colour, dab a small dot of shimmer gloss right in the center of the bottom lip, “says Anne Marie DeMauro. “This will visually round out the lip and create a plumper appearance as well as some glamorous pop of shine.”

Love that sultry lip that keeps him coming back for more ? To get that juicy appearance, creating an ombre effect can definitely create the irresistible impact.

“To make your lips look fuller with more shape use a darker colour on the outside and a slightly brighter in the middle of the lips,” adds Jamie Greenberg. “The illusion you want to portray is juicy lips.”

STEP 9

CLEAN UP

instasize_171231233325

Now that you have spent all this time doing your lips, you’ll definitely want your look to last. Grab a one-ply tissue (or just pull some two-ply toilet paper in half) or a blotting sheet and hold it over your lips. Pick up your translucent powder again and lightly and dust it over the tissue. This will really seal in your lipstick. Re-apply more lipstick with the lip brush if you want to increase the wear-time of your lipstick.

This is a good trick even if you’re not overdrawing your lips. BUT, don’t do it when you are wearing ultra-glossy lipstick, highlighter or lips gloss . It’ll just make a gooey mess.

TIPS

DO’S

Invest in a good lip brush. When you are first perfecting your lip lining skills, you’ll probably end up with more than a few wonky looking lines. A good lip brush can smudge those lines ever so slightly to create a more natural, even look.

Pay attention to your cupid bow. It can be tricky to properly line it (that little dip in the middle of your top lip). Rather than attempting to follow the lines of your cupid bows exactly, just draw an X. The X-shape will create the illusion of a strong cupid’s bow without looking overdone. If your X looks too sharp, grab your lip brush and blend.

Experiment with bright lip liner. Layer a cherry colour lip liner underneath our dusty rose lipstick to add a fresh life to it. Try a bubble gum pink shade of lip liner then cover it with some gloss for a vibrant glow.

Remember to line the coners of your lips. For a natural look, It’s important to cover every little spec of space on your lips. If you leave  the corners of your mouth unlined, you’ll end up with unnatural looking coverage or feathered lipsticks.

DON’TS

Don’t use straight lines. on your try, you will probably be tempted to just draw one straight line around your lip. Resist the urge ! Use a series of short lines. It is so much easier that way and i’ll create a much more natural effect. You don’t want it looking like you literally drew a circle around your month. The goal is to have your lip liner simply be invisible.

Overdraw your lips. I know this is a trend right now and i know that I just told you to overdraw around your cupid bow, but trust me here. You don’t want to over draw your lips. If you must overdraw your lips, wait until you’ve got a little more experience under your belt. Master the basic lining skills before you jump into anything more advance.

Don’t go too dark. If you can’t decide between two different shades of lip liner, always go for the lighter one. Dark colours are just too hard to work with and they look downright dreary on a lot of different skin tones.

Don’t forget about the corners of your mouth. Doing so causes a break in the natural flow and line in your lips.

In this discussion, we have tried to describe how to choose the right lip colour, how to apply lipstick to thin or narrow lips and also do’s & don’ts tips.

Best of luck!!

What are makeup brushes?

Bonjour / Hello !!

Welcome back to FLAWLESS BEAUTY BLOG BY NAKIBA. I hope you all are fine, I’m good and grateful to be blessed.

Alors, this week’s topic is all about makeup brushes…

Brushes for your face, brushes for your eyes, brushes for your brow-they’re all out there, and they’re all pretty much essential for getting your makeup just right. So, I’ve rounded up all the must have.

A makeup brush is a tool with bristles, used for the application of makeup or face painting. The bristles may be made from natural or synthetic materials, while the handle is usually made out of plastic or wood. When cosmetic is applied using the appropriate brush, they blend better into the skin.

There is a large variety of shape and sizes of makeup brushes, depending on the face area where makeup will be applied, the cosmetic product and wanted results. For example, the shape of the brush tip can be chiseled, straight, angular, round, flat or tapered.

TYPES OF MAKEUP BRUSH BRISTLES

Makeup application can alter due to the materials used to create a brush. The bristles of the makeup brush can either be synthetic or natural. The brush itself is important to the application of makeup as it can densely pack on product or loosely pack on product.

SYNTHETIC BRISTLES

Synthetic bristles are the most common material used in makeup brushes. These brushes are widely found in drugstore and makeup-specific stores. The bristles are made from plastic, nylon, or other synthetic fibers, and may be dyed. Synthetic bristles are often used with liquid and cream products, as they tend to blend out product more easily and will not absorb product as much as natural haired bristles as they do not degrade and are not as fragile.

NATURAL BRISTLES

The natural bristles are often dark in colour, not super soft, sheds, hold pigments netter and difficult to wash. As the natural bristles brushes best applies powder product and it is best to avoid liquid or cream products as they will drink up most of the products. Although natural bristles are more preferred in the cosmetic industry, the bristles themselves can cause allergic reactions to the animal hair.

Natural bristles may more easily control the product when blending out or even packing on the product, because they have hair cuticles.

TYPES OF NATURAL BRISTLES

  • Sable
  • Goat
  • Badger
  • Pony
  • Squirrel
  • Kolinsky
  • Weasel

TIPS

If your skin tone is pale to medium, you’ll want to reach for matte, cool toned contour. Look for beige, taupe and grayish tones. If you have tan to deep skin, cool tones also work for you, but warmer shades can look great as well.

Starting with a light hand, it’s easier to build product than to take it off, build gradually the shadow because too much foundation and powder will make your jawline look dirty. Then blend, as it is the key to contour.

Always set with translucent powder to avoid transfer into clothing.

MATTIFY – Look for makeup primer or moisturizer that have mattifying property to keep shine off for longer hours.

POWDER – Powder helps to soak up excess sebum. Slap on more powder on the neck, but making sure the finish still looks natural.

CONTOURING – Tilt your chin up to the ceiling to see exactly where your jawline is. At a downward angle, sweep bronzer (one or two shades darker than your natural skin tone) across the jawline and on your cheeks. Contouring your cheeks will also help to give you all over definition.

HIGHLIGHT – Right above the perimeter of the jawline, add about two inch line with your best highlighter. This will add a shadowed dimension to the chin, giving you the defined jawline you desire. Blend, blend, blend to make it look as possible.

CONCLUSION

In this discussion, we have tried to describe how to contour broad jawline to make it appear less wide. You also have an idea what tools you can use.

What are undertones ?

Bonjour / Hello !!

Welcome back to FLAWLESS BEAUTY BLOG BY NAKIBA. Thank you for stopping by. I hope you all had a good week and you’re fine.

What a past two weeks I had dwrcl, but mi deh ya same way…

Alors, this week’s topic is WHAT ARE UNDERTONES.

Understanding the real colour of your skin is primarily about discovering your skin’s undertone, which is the key to buying the right foundation shade and creating flawless makeup look. Choosing the right colours based around your hair colour, eye colour, and natural undertones will, after accentuate your natural features and make you glow.

WHAT IS SKIN’S UNDERTONE ?

instasize_170928100502

When shopping for foundation, you’ve probably heard the terms “cool,” warm,” or “neutral” to describe how a shade will look on the skin. Those terms refer to your skin’s undertone and are used to determine which foundation shade will match it the best.

“Undertone” is the term used for that subtle, more muted colour that lies underneath the skin. You can think of it as a “shadow” that is always there. While the surface colour may change, the undertone stays the same, regardless. It’s not about how light or how dark your skin is; people of all skin colour, form very fair to deep, can have cool, warm, or neutral undertones. Here’s what each of these terms means.

COOL

Hints of blush, pink, or a ruddy complexion.

WARM

Skin skews yellow, sallow, peachy, or golden.

NAUTRAL

Has no obvious overtones of pink or sallow skin, but rather the skin’s natural colour is more evident.

That means you should choose use your undetone to form the basic of your overall skin tone. In fact, most beauty expert recommend that you use your undertone, rather than your surface colour, to determine which foundation is best. A foundation that doesn’t match your undertone will often look “off”- either to orange, pink, red, or ashed. Even eye shadow and blush that doesn’t match your undertone will also look less attractive than colours that do match.

HOW TO DETERMINE YOUR SKIN’S UNDERTONE

There are several way to determine your skin’s undertone. One is, start by looking at the inside of your arm, where the underlying colour shows through fairly well. This area is naturally hidden form the sun and, therefore, is not sun damaged or discoloured, which is why skin in this area works best to reveal how warm, cool, or neutral your skin really is.

Answering the following question is aslo helpful:

Does your skin tan easily and rarely sunburn? If so, you probably lean toward a warm or neutral undertone. If not, there’s a good chance you will fall into the cool-tone category.

Do your veins appear bluish or more deep purple? If the answer is yes, you’re likely in the cool-undertone spectrum. If your vein appear greenish, you mostly likely skew towards the warm-toned. Those with neutral undertones will have difficulty discerning, either colour-it will just all look neutral.

TIPS

Do you look better in silver or gold? Personal preferences aside cool undertones tend to be flattered by silver/platinum; those with warm undertones look better in gold-toned jewelry. Neutral skin tones look equally great in both (lucky you!).

Does your skin look somewhat ashen or gray? You might have the wild card of the bunch-olive skin– which is a combination of the natural neutral, slightly yellow undertone  everyone has plus the greenish ashen hue that’s unique to olive skin. Olive skin is very specific, but is not neutral as some tend to call it.

CONCLUSION

In this article, we have tried to describe to you what are undertone and how to fine out whether you have warm, cool, neutral or olive undertone.

How to highlight narrow jawlines?

Bonjour / Hello !!

Welcome back to FLAWLESS BEAUTY BLOG BY NAKIBA. Thank you for stopping by. I hope you all had a good week and you’re fine.

The leave is changing, the sun is setting sooner, the wind is getting cooler and you’re grabbing the sweatshirts and sweaters from the closet. Autumn/Fall is officially upon us. With days becoming shorter, the darkness descending hours earlier and the temperatures drooping, you might not be happy autumn has arrived but I am, it’s my favorite season.

Alors, this week’s topic is all about how to highlight narrow jawline

Your jawline is the part of your lower jaw which forms the outline of the bottom of your face. Highlight is the real key player in widening a narrow jawline, apply highlighter on your jawline, this will draw attention this angle of the face. Some beauty rules are out dated, but when it’s comes to face shapes, I think a bit of beauty rule following is more than out. That’s because your face shape can components of your look. Even just the way you cut your hair can be complicated by the relative width or narrowness of your jaw, cheeks and forehead.

HOW TO TELL IF YOU HAVE NARROW JAWLINES

If you have oval, long, or heart shaped face you have narrow jawline.

Find out what is your face shape in the link below.

https://beautyblogbynakiba.wordpress.com/?s=face+shape

HIGHLIGHT

Highlighter attracts and mimics lights, offsets contouring by accentuating areas of the face with light concealer or highlighter giving the illusion of higher, brighter features. To properly highlight, use a concealer shade that is two shades lighter than your skin tone or a highlighter that flatters your complexion to emphasize the areas of your face that naturally catch the light.

WHERE YOU SHOULD HIGHLIGHT

  • Apply highlight product on your jawline.

What are moisturizers ?

Bonjour / Hello !!

Welcome back to FLAWLESS BEAUTY BLOG BY NAKIBA, with a every hectic week ahead, I brace for the pressure. As I hold firmly to my plans, meeting dead lines and reaching my goals. Here I come !!!

Alors, this week’s topic is WHAT ARE MOISTURIZERS .

Instasize_0730185133

Moisturizer or emollients are product that help increase the moisture content of the skin surface. Moisturizer also help the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. They are complex mixture of chemical agents specially designed to make the skin (epidermis) softer and more pliable. They increase skin’s hydration (water content) by reducing evaporation. Naturally occurring skin lipids and sterols, as well as artificial or natural oils, humectants, emollients, lubricants, etc.… that prevents moisture from leaving the skin.

Moisturizer is a cosmetic preparation, as a cream or lotion, used to restore moisture to the skin, especially of the face and neck. All moisturizer may often have other ingredients that will perform additional function. These ingredients may include soothing agents for sensitive skin, alpha hydroxy acids or peptides for aging skin or sunscreen.

They key to deciding which type of moisturizer to use is the focus on what’s most important to you. That includes choosing ingredients you’re comfortable with, as well as a formula that suits your skin type.

Find out your skin type in the link below…

WHY SHOULD I USE MOISTURIZER ?

Moisturizers prevent and treat dry skin, protect sensitive skin, improve skin texture, and mask imperfections.

PRESERVATION OF NORMAL SKIN

Moisturizer can be used to prevent the skin from becoming too dry, or oily, such as with light, non-greasy water-bases moisturizers. Such moisturizers often lightweight oils, such as cetyl alcohol, or silicone-derived ingredients, such as cyclomethicone.

DRY SKIN

For treating skin dryness, the most appropriate moisturizer are heavier, oil-base moisturizer that contain ingredients such as antioxidants, grape seed oil, or dimethicone. For very dry skin, cracked skin, petrolatum-based products are preferable, as they are longer-lasting that creams and more effective in preventing water evaporation.

OILY SKIN

For oily skin, moisturizers can be useful after activities causing skin dryness, such as other skin care products and washing. For oil skin, water-based moisturizer that are specifically non-comedogenic are preferable, as there is less risk of comedo formation.

AGING SKIN

Appropriate moisturizer to keep aging skin soft and well hydrated are oil-based ones that contain petrolatum as the base, along with antioxidants or alpha hydroxy acids against winkles.

SENSITIVE SKIN

On sensitive skin (which otherwise is susceptible to skin irritation, redness, itching or rashes), it is preferable to use moisturizer which contain soothing ingredients such as chamomile or aloe, and that minimize the potential allergens such as fragrances or dyes, as well as irritants such as acids.

SUNSCREEN AND DAY PROTECTION PRODUCTS

Shielding the skin from sun exposure is probably the most important habit to benefit the skin. Cumulative sun exposure causes most of skin cancer, and prematurely ages the skin.

Most sun exposure over a lifetime is from causal sun exposure. Therefore, every client should be instructed to use daily sun screen. Look for daily moisturizer that contain broad-spectrum sunscreen, which means that they protected against both UVA and UVB sunrays. An SPF-15 or higher is adequate strength.

Sunscreen are made in lotion, fluid, and cream forms, and are easily adaptable to combination, oilier, or dry skin types.

NIGHT TREATMENT PRODUCTS

Night treatments products are usually more intensive products designed for night use to treat specific skin problem. These products are generally heavier than day-use products, and theoretically contain higher levels of conditioning ingredients.

TIPS

Long, hot shower strips the skin of its moisture and wash away its protective oils. Limiting your shower to no longer than ten minutes and keeping the water as cool as you can stand can help limit the loss.

For younger looking skin, lock-in moisture by applying a cream or lotion within three minutes of exiting the bathtub or shower.

Moisturizer can stop dryness and even tearing if your skin is thin and sensitive. Customize yours by checking these active ingredients:

HUMECTANTS – These include glycerin, sorbitol, urea, or propylene glycol. They attract water by pulling it up from deeper skin layers. They’re good choices for people with oily skin.

OCCLUSIVES – Petroleum jelly, lanolin, and beeswax are good examples. They prevent water from evaporating.

BARRIER – REPAIR COMPOUNDS – These includes ceramide, monolaurin, and linoleic acid. These ingredients often used in combination with others like cholesterol, help repair the skin’s barrier to prevent moisture loss and damage.

The thin, delicate skin beneath he eyes produces little of the protective oil that keeps skin soft and youthful looking. Specially formulated gels reduce puffiness and dark circles while they moisturize.

Look for a cream with peptimes-amino acids that may stimulate collagen production-if you are bothered by wrinkle, sagging and dark circles. Try a cream containing caffeine (yes, the same ingredient that’s in coffee and tea) for under eye puffiness – it may shrink blood vessels.

Your skin needs more moisture in winter than in summer, the same day you take out those sweaters, buy a heavier moisturizer.

When you trade in the sweaters for shorts, switch to a lighter one.

For softer, younger looking hands and feet, wait until right before going to bed to slather on moisturizing cream, then slip on thin fabric and gloves.

For younger looking skin, smooth a couple of drops of olive oil over you face elbows, knees, and the back of your arms every evening. The olive oil contains monounsaturated fat, which refreshes and hydrates skin without leaving a greasy residue.

CONCLUSION

In this article, we have tried to describe to you what are moisturizers and what it does.

If you enjoyed this post, I’d be very grateful if you’d help to spread it by emailing it to a friend, or sharing it on Twitter or Face book.

Let’s just get into to it right away, this week’s topic is what are MAKEUP REMOVERS.

Makeup removal is an important step in your beauty routine. Many people overlook the importance of makeup removal in their beauty regimen. Yet this key step leaves skin feeling so fresh and clean ! For many people, the holiday season means social gatherings that call for a more festive makeup look. And while you may focus on the application, removing any traces of mascara and red lipstick are just as important. If you don’t thoroughly remove your makeup before going to bed, it can irritate skin, clog pores, and cause acne.

They key to deciding which type of makeup remover to use is the focus on what’s most important to you. That includes choosing ingredients you’re comfortable with, as well as a formula that suits your skin type. Keep in mind that there is no right or wrong choice; it’s really a matter of preference.

There are two-steps approach to cleansing routine when you’ve got full face of makeup to remove. First, use products designed to dissolve the mascara and foundation you’ve applied. Then, wash your with your favorite cleanser. If you’re tired, it’s OK to squeeze the routine into one, if you do one or the other.

WHY REMOVE YOUR MAKEUP AND CLEANSE YOUR FACE ?

Makeup removal should be part of your daily skin care ritual because it is good for your skin. Here are the specific benefits:

  • It washes away cosmetics, impurities and dirt from the surface of your skin, which could lead to irritation or cause your skin to age more rapidly.
  • It reduces the risk of developing pimples, redness, blackheads and other types of blemishes.
  • It promotes cellular renewal by eliminating dead skin.
  • It stimulates skin’s microsimulation due to the massage action.
  • It lets your skin breathe.

By cleansing your face well, you’ll discover the joy of fresh, toned, supple and well-moisturize skin, even if you wear a little makeup or none. As you can see, there are plenty of good reason for you to add this step to your beauty routine !

WHEN SHOULD YOU REMOVE YOUR MAKEUP?

Ideally, you should remove your makeup before going to bed and refresh your face when you wake up in the morning, it gets rids of skin perspiration and sebum accumulated overnight. In the evening, it eliminates cosmetics and the day’s traces of pollution and impurities.

HOW TO USE MAKEUP REMOVER ?

Before you begin, you should know that regular soap and shower gel should never be used on the face. Such products are too strong and will destroy the skin’s protective hydrolipid barrier, causing excessive dryness.

First, wash your hands well, then pour a small quantity of makeup remover, micellar water or facial cleanser unto a cotton pad. While some products can be applied directly to wet skin, without requiring the use of a cotton pad. Sweep the cotton pad over your face; or lather the product with fingers (in the case of cleansers applied directly to skin). Avoid harsh rubbing. End by applying toner with a cotton pad to top off the cleansing, restore your skin’s pH balance and prepare it for moisturizer.

There are makeup removers to fit all needs and price ranges. You may have to try a few different types and compare them before you settle on a favorite, but at least one of these makeup removers or cleansers is bond to work for you.

TYPES OF MAKEUP REMOVER

EYE MAKEUP REMOVER

Waterproof mascara is a stubborn makeup designed to stay longer periods and cannot be easily be removed. As eyes are very delicate, you have to be careful how you remove your mascara. A damp cotton ball with baby shampoo and baby oil, coconut oil or olive oil can be used on the lashes and around the eye area.

FACE MAKEUP REMOVER

CREAMY CLEANSERS

If you’re looking for a makeup remover that really saturate your skin, give a cream cleanser a try. This type of makeup remover seeps into every nook and cranny and often leaves skin feeling more hydrated than other kinds of makeup removers.

MAKEUP WIPES

Cloths, wipes, and towelette-like makeup remover are designed to remove makeup without water. You can use them to remove a portion of your makeup or all of it.

There are makeup removers to fit all needs and price ranges. You may have to try a few different types and compare them before you settle on a favorite, but at least one of these cleansers is bound to work for you.

OIL MAKEUP REMOVER

While oil may seem like a mess when applying it to your face, it is actually a very effective source of makeup remover. You will be reducing friction in your face, which means less redness, and it really removes your makeup thoroughly. The oil makeup removers are especially good when it comes to removing waterproof products. Just make sure to wash your face well after it. Coconut oil can be used as makeup remover.

FACIAL CLEANSER & MAKEUP REMOVER

If you’re not the one to use the cotton ball or pad technique, then you will love the facial cleanser and makeup remover all-in-one combo. You will need to wash your face extremely well.

LIPSTICK MAKEUP REMOVER

Lipstick smeared all over your face after a long night out is, well, annoying. That’s why most of us love long-wearing liquid lipstick. It’ll hold up through dinner, won’t transfer during a little make-out, and won’t budge outside your lip line. But the problem with a product that does what it says it does? Removing it without scraping of multiple layers of skin in the process. There’s where matte lipstick removers come in. They remove dry, sometimes flaking pigment easily and painlessly. The best kind will also repair and replenish your lips with moisture and essential vitamins.

If you can’t swing an expensive matte lip remover, you’re still in luck. Fortunately, there are some great home remedies for matte lipstick removal. Your tired and true beauty companions, like coconut and olive oil, can take off your makeup easily and safely.

TIPS

When it comes to removing eyeliner, I would recommend you use the wipes or oil for a better outcome.

If you have dry skin, don’t make matter worse by overdoing it. Simply use a gentle cleanser with natural pH. Be sure to apply moisturizer on a regular basis to help your epidermis remain supple.

When it comes to selecting an all-purpose makeup remover, look for one that’s alcohol free with low alcohol free with a low concentration acid concentration. Be wary of harsh makeup removers containing alcohol if you have sensitive skin, and cleansers containing alpha hydro acids might be too strong to use around the eye area.

The key to deciding which type of makeup remover to use is to focus on what’s most important to you. That includes choosing ingredients you’re comfortable with, as well, as a formula that suits skin type. Keep in mind that there is no right or wrong or right choice; it’s really a matter of preference. There are makeup removers to fit all needs and price ranges. You may have a to try a few different types and compare them before you settle on a favorite.

How to contour double chin?

Welcome back to FLAWLESS BEAUTY BLOG BY NAKIBA. I hope you all are good and you’re also having a wonderful weekend. I had a great weekend, I spend it with my girls (my mom and my sister). We did summer cleaning lol, had some laughs and some good food, not to mention that pepper pot my sister made, it was so good !!!

This week’s topic is all about how to contour double chin.

We all have flaws, but luckily you can learn different makeup techniques to help create the illusion of a no existing double chin. Contouring makeup trick used to minimize areas that you want to detract from.

A double chin, also known as sub-mental fat, is a common condition that occurs when a layer of fat forms below the chin. A double chin is often associated with weight gain, but you don’t have to be overweight to have one. Genetics or looser skin resulting from aging may also cause a double chin.

HOW TO TELL IF YOU HAVE DOUBLE CHIN.

  • You have a layer of fat form below the chin.

CONTOUR

Contouring is the art of subtlety defining or reshaping features, like your cheekbones, nose, forehead and chin, using makeup. By using matte powder, cream, liquid or pencil product that’s two shades darker than your skin tone can enhance, define and even re-shape your features.

WHERE YOU SHOULD CONTOUR

  • Apply your contour color on your chin.

STEP 2

Coloured concealer

Conceal blemishes and redness.

Apply color correctors where needed. This will help take away most of the redness from uneven complexion and breakouts.

You must set with a translucent powder.

Find out what is translucent powder in the link below.

STEP 3

Foundations

Choose your foundation.

Whether it’s liquid (or cream) foundation, oil based foundation makeup, sheer foundation, waterproof foundation, mineral foundation, powder (or compact) foundation, stick foundation, mousse or whipped or matte, or “oil-free”, foundation.

To cover up your double chin, use a foundation that is one to two shades darker than the face foundation on your face. Apply this darker foundation on the double chin area and use a foundation that matches your skin tone on the face.

Be careful that it is not too dark or it will end up looking like you are growing a bread. Blend well so there are no demarcation lines.

STEP 4

Instasize_0730185839

Set with powder.

Once you get all your contouring and highlighting you want to keep the cream products from sliding, you must seal/set it all with some loose powder or powder. Set the highlight area using a translucent powder or matte powder highlight shade. You may wish to use your powder to bake the highlighted area, but you don’t have to.

Then use a contour powder to set the contoured area. This will create more depth. Don’t go too heavy on the contour powder, otherwise you will end up looking a bit scary, and I mean that in good way ! You want to keep it soft and natural. After all you don’t want the world knowing you contouring your nose, do you?

STEP 5

Choose bronzer.

Brush powder bronzer subtly all along the jawline from ear to ear. Choose a gold-tone bronzer if you have medium to dark skin or a rose-tone bronzer if you have fair skin. Make sure it is blended well so that you do not see a line.

Remember to keep it on your jaw bone line only. Adding bronzer to your jawline bring your look together and make it more natural looking, you can also use the same bronzer on your cheekbones as blush.

Bear in mind that to disguise your double chin, you need to give the illusion of light and shadow. Blend your bronzer well; you are creating an illusion, so you do not want to see any visible lines. Use a thicker brush on your bronzer when you are done with your jawline to make it subtler.

Find out what are bronzers in the link below.

A bronzer is a cosmetic liquid or powder applied to the skin to…

TIPS

The contour shade you choose for your nose must be lighter than the one you use on cheeks and the rest of your face and it should be matte. Whether you’re using a cream or powder it always must be cool tone. Cool tones mimic the natural contours and shadows of the face.

If your skin tone is pale to medium, you’ll want to reach for matte, cool toned contour. Look for beige, taupe and greyish tones. If you have tan to deep skin, cool tones also work for you, but warmer shades can look great as well.

If you want the heavily contour Instagram look, or if you are more advance at makeup, try a cream. Cream will really sculpt your features. Powders give more subtle results. Liquid highlighters are going to give your skin a dewy, more natural looking finish.

Starting with a light hand, it’s easier to build product than to take it off.

Remember to build gradually the shadow because too much foundation and powder will make your chin look dirty. Then blend, as it is the key to contour.

Always use a light touch with your bronzer and foundation, your goal is to keep it natural looking.

Wearing your hair in an updo can give the illusion of longer neck.

Create attention-getting eyes to draw attention away from your double chin.

Never wear high collars or turtle necks.

MATTIFY – Look for makeup primer or moisturizer that have mattifying property to keep shine off for longer hours.

POWDER – Powder helps to soak up excess sebum. Slap on more powder around the nose, but making sure the finish still looks natural.
