What are mascaras?

Bonjour!!!

Happy Monday flawless beauties!

I hope you’ll are fine and also had great weekend, I’m good and I had a great weekend. So let’s get straight in to it !

Mascaras.jpg

Mascara is a cosmetic commonly used to enhance the eyelashes. I may darken, thicken, lengthen and/or define the eyelashes. Mascaras can be found in one of three forms – liquid, cream, or cake form. Every mascara has a different formula and wand, so the results will differ depending on which one you choose; however, most contain the same basic components of pigments, oils, waxes, and preservatives.  Picking out the right mascara does not have to be overwhelming.

Even if you don’t know how to apply mascara, you’ll get all the information to make the best choice for your look, the ones that compliments your eyes and skin tone.

BLACK MASCARA

A universal rule is that everyone looks good in black mascara. Even on the fairest skin, it provides a dramatic frame for the eyes.

For darker skinned women, it adds drama to fringe. When in doubt, you know that good black mascara is always your best friend.

BROWN MASCARA

Classic black masacra is all good, but there’s also a serious case to be made for brown lashes. If you have fair skin and prefer a natural look, rich brown mascara is your best bet. The softer brown tone harmonizes with blonde, light brown or lighter red hair, so that no one but will know if you have invisible eyelashes.

Sometimes it can be so hard to find mascara that blends in with the blonde so it doesn’t look like you wearing mascara, or clump up. I recommend a few that come in a variety of colours like taupe, brown, & golden (for those who like to stay close to their natural look). I think it’s important for albinos to note what suits them best.

To bring more drama to your baby blue or green eyes, a high volume brown mascara can still have enough impact for night-time, just make sure your eye shadow or eyeliner isn’t darker than you your lashes. Deeper, blackened brown mascara is a good choice for olive and medium skinned women who want to increase volume while still achieving a makeup free look.

BLUE MASCARA

Try out blue mascara for grey, brown, blue or light green eyes, or just to make a fashion statement! Turquoise might seem like it’s too close to blue to make an impact, but a few swipes of this bold mascara will accentuate bright blue eyes. For fair skin women with these blues will really pop on your skin. For darker skinned women, apply a base coat of black or primer, and glide on several coats of the blue after it dries. To make sure the colour shines, you can line your top lid with black liquid liner, or blend a pencil into the lash line.

If you’re shy about experimenting with colour, a deep blue will enhance grey, light brown and green eyes without being obvious. Navy blue is an option that will serve to brighten the whites of the eyes, either of these darker tones works well on women with fairer skin who want a subtle colour.

PURPLE MASCARA

Purple Mascara.jpg

Royal purple, plum and violet all fall under this umbrella. Purple mascara looks especially dazzling on women with green eyes and hazel eyes because the two shades lie opposite on the colour wheel or blue eyes. If you have undertones in your skin, select a shade of purple that has a warmer red under tones, such as plum.

Women with darker or cool medium toned skin will look fabulous with a purple that skews towards blue, such as violet.

GREEN MASCARA

Green mascara.jpg

Green tones look glorious on brown and hazel eyes. Green mascara and hazel eye combination will highlight the natural earthy shades of green in this eye colour. Green mascara can be complimentary to any range of skin tones, just opt for neutral tones in your eye shadows to let your lashes do the talking. If you prefer just a tease of colour, apply a coat of primer (clear) mascara or basic black, then swipe on the green from the mid-shaft tips.

TIPS

If your mascara starts to dry up, add 4-5 eye drop or contact solution into the bottle, close it, and shake it up. Your mascara will refresh performing like new again.

Soak your mascara tube in a cup of hot water to make the formula liquid-y instead of clumpy. This will make the formula thinner and easier to apply.
